3-4-26    THOUGHTS

In our reading below, I have bolded God’s desire for His creation.  He tells us here to pray for order and peace so that people might find Him through Jesus.  Several authors that I enjoy found God in “foxhole environments”.  Salvation from God’s Truth is the Goal!   From God, “supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings” are given as tools to affect the goal.  The mediator idea that is in Christ Jesus who bought us with His own blood, is most powerful.  

1Tim 2:1-6    First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,  2  for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.  3  This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4  who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.  5  For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6  who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.

Our Prayer:
Thank You, O God, for giving us a place for prayer as we approach You.  We know that You listen and answer.  What a powerful thought.  Teach us to avail ourselves of this awesome tool to our greatest advantage. Help us know You increasingly in this communication gift.  We praise You, Father, for seeking relationship with Your creation.  Give us a great striving ability as we seek to promote Your goal to save Your people that You love.  Teach us that love.  We pray in the Savior’s name,     Amen
